Celebrating 15 years in business, Tucson’s Carly Quinn Designs is opening a new studio and showroom on South 6th Avenue and introducing Earthtones Tile

Tucson tile art studio Carly Quinn Designs will celebrate its 15th anniversary and the grand opening of its new studio and showroom on Saturday, March 7, at 711 S. 6th Avenue. The community celebration marks a major milestone for the locally rooted art studio and introduces an exciting expansion: the revival of a longtime Tucson tile brand.
Alongside the new studio opening, Carly Quinn Designs has acquired Hand-N-Hand Designs, a respected Tucson tile art maker founded in 1983. The brand has been reintroduced as Earthtones Tile, continuing its legacy of hand glazed address tiles and decorative gifts while embracing a refreshed creative direction.
“We’re excited to step into this next chapter celebrating fifteen years of tile art, community support, and the opportunity to carry forward a legacy that has been part of Tucson’s creative heartbeat for decades,” said Carly Quinn, founder and artist.
Founded in 2011, Carly Quinn Designs creates hand glazed ceramic tiles using the traditional cuerda seca technique, a historic process that separates vibrant glazes with fine wax lines before kiln firing. The studio’s work ranges from collectible art tiles and kitchen trivets to large scale murals and installations inspired by the colors and landscapes of the Sonoran Desert.
The newly expanded South 6th Avenue studio will serve as a working production space, showroom, classroom space and community hub for tile art in Tucson.
The grand opening celebration will take place Saturday, March 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and again from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public and will feature open studio tours, hands on tile glazing, artist demonstrations, and family friendly activities during the day, followed by an evening celebration with music, drinks, and community gathering.
