About the Author
Fauneil Fremont was born in the village of Hoskins, Nebraska, before her family moved to Norfolk. After graduating from the University of Nebraska, she joined a summer study tour of Europe with the University of South Dakota. She began her teaching career in Tucson, Arizona, teaching English and music, and earned an MED from the University of Arizona.

After her marriage, she returned to her love of music. She studied at San Jose State University, completing a BA and then an MA. She pursued a career as a pipe organist and later retired in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Following her husband's death, she moved to San Antonio, where she currently resides. She credits her mother, Lisetta, and her grandmother, Minnie, as strong influences in her life, and they served as the main characters of her last two books.
